Traditional cycling kit is built for performance.
Everyday shorts aren’t built for the saddle.
For years, urban commuters have navigated between specialised gear and everyday wear.
l’étape cycliste was engineered to unite both in a single, integrated system.
Ride in comfort. Arrive in Style.
Developed over two years in collaboration with a European cycling apparel designer with experience creating custom fits for elite athletes competing at UCI WorldTour level.
At the core are premium Italian performance fabrics and Elastic Interface® chamois technology — engineered for comfort, structure and breathability.
Performance you feel on the saddle.
Refinement you recognise off the bike.
Built for performance and tailored for transition. A structured outer shell and a clean silhouette designed to move confidently beyond the ride.
From saddle to street — engineered for transition.
l’étape cycliste began with a simple frustration.
Performance cycling apparel is built for the ride.
Everyday clothing isn’t built for riding comfort.
For years, I looked for something that combined both — technical comfort in the saddle with the look of a tailored short. I couldn’t find it.
So I started pulling the problem apart: comfort in the saddle, breathability, a tailored short that fully integrates a pro-quality liner, with pockets designed for commute essentials.
To build it properly, I collaborated with a European cycling apparel designer, partnered with manufacturers of proven Italian performance fabrics and integrated Elastic Interface® chamois technology.
l’étape cycliste was created as a considered solution to the modern commute — built for riders who expect more from their kit.

L’Étape Cycliste” is French for “The Cycling Stage.” It draws inspiration from the world of professional road racing, where each segment of a race — known as an étape — is a test of endurance, strategy, and style. The name reflects our philosophy: every ride, whether it’s a morning commute or a weekend escape, is a stage worth dressing for.
